Anniversary Event Announcement

If you’re not a reader of my newsletter, then you may not know that 1st October marks the 10th anniversary of Just History Posts! I can’t believe I’m here a whole decade in. We’ve had lots of women’s history, people of legend, we’ve chatted about what The Tiffany Problem is, and looked at the time the mighty Napoleon was bested by some bunny rabbits.

To celebrate, I’m planning to release a bumper crop of blog posts throughout October, from historical objects, to medieval mistresses, a mysterious queen, and more. But, I also decided to try something new. I’m hosting an online event. As it’s the anniversary of my blog, I thought it only fitting to do a blog-themed event. So I’ve pulled together a cast of some of my friends and fellow history bloggers to hold an online event all about what we do. I will be joined by Amy Boucher of Nearly Knowledgeable, Sharon Bennett Connolly of History…The Interesting Bits, Rebecca Larson of Tudors Dynasty, and Tamise Hills of Lady Jane Grey Reference Guide for this roundtable-style event.

The event will be held on Saturday 17th October at 4pm BST and will last for an hour and a half. Tickets will be £5.00, and you can buy one here: https://justhistoryposts.com/events/. During the event, we will discuss what inspired us to create our history websites, what challenges we’ve faced, and what changes we’ve noticed in the history blogging sphere over the years. We’ll look at where the future may be in this ever-changing internet age, and there’ll also be plenty of time for you to ask questions you may have about what we do.

I really hope that you will join us for this special event. Just History Posts means so much to me. It’s been my lifeline when I needed a creative outlet and needed to stay in touch with my history-loving roots, it helped lead to me beginning a career as a historical non-fiction author, and it’s made me countless friends over the years. Having a chance to celebrate that with you all makes me feel very lucky.
